The Site

The site is 0.2 hectares in size, currently vacant and close to Tulse Hill station, ideal for new affordable homes.

The development would be car free, with the exception of some disabled parking, and support sustainable travel options, being so close to the station and local amenities.

The new genuinely affordable homes, at rents far below market levels, similar to council rents, will be provided will be a mix of 1-bed, 2-bed and 3-bed flats all with private balconies. A communal open space will also be provided at roof level, with play space for children.

The site is divided into three main buildings each with an independent ground floor level. The tallest part of the proposal is 7 storeys, where Avenue Park Road meets Thurlow park Road. The rest of the site is proposed as 5 and 6 storeys as shown on the image below.

Car and Cycle Parking

There will be a space on the ground floor which could be utilised in a variety of ways to benefit the community. Affordable workspace for local businesses is an option and we would love to know your ideas for how we best plan and use that space.

There will also be secure cycle parking in two locations on the ground floor and disabled car parking spaces.

The proposals include improvements to the frontages with Thurlow Park Road and Avenue Park Road with tree planting and upgrades to the public footpath.
